Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic restoration team as a Restoration Trainee, where you will gain hands-on experience in restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other damages. This paid training position offers an exciting opportunity to develop essential skills in the restoration industry while contributing to helping clients recover from unforeseen disasters. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learn industry-standard techniques, and support emergency response efforts to ensure safe and efficient restoration processes. Duties Assist with water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and flood restoration projects under supervision Support the cleaning and removal of debris using hand tools and power tools to prepare sites for restoration Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site travel and emergency response coverage Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection equipment Help with the setup and breakdown of containment areas to prevent cross-contamination during mold or hazardous material removal Participate in emergency response readiness activities, including on-call coverage for urgent situations Use Xactimate software to assist with damage assessment documentation and reporting Requirements Willingness to learn and develop skills in the restoration industry through hands-on training Basic construction experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and carpet cleaning equipment is a plus Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence, including PPE use and respiratory protection procedures Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients during stressful situations Ability to respond promptly during emergencies, including on-call coverage when needed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for vehicle operation responsibilities Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to build a career in restoration while making a tangible difference in people's lives.
