Job Description
Overview Prestige Environmental LLC is an environmental contractor specializing in commercial and residential, Asbestos Abatement , as well as Mold Remediation, Lead Paint Abatement and Water Mitigation. As an Asbestos Technician you will remove hazardous building materials from residential and/or commercial structures, such as asbestos, lead paint and mold. On the Job Training Provided Responsibilities Set up plastic barriers and safety equipment to contain asbestos. Safely remove and dispose of asbestos following OSHA and company safety rules. Wear required safety equipment, including respirators and protective suits. Clean work areas so they are safe to use again. Keep accurate daily records of work completed. Work with your team to complete projects safely and on time. Perform water extraction, demolition, and cleanup Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration) Take moisture readings and document job progress Maintain clean and safe job sites Respond to emergency service calls when needed Work closely with crew leaders and project managers Construct negative pressure enclosure for abatement or encapsulation of various hazardous materials You are responsible for the daily functions of proper abatement in accordance with OSHA, AQMD and other regulatory agencies Loading hazardous material onto company trucks Requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in fast-paced environments Strong work ethic and attention to detail Restoration/remediation experience preferred IICRC certification is a plus Asbestos Abatement experience is a plus Construction experience is a plus Current California Asbestos Abatement Certificate required Positive, "can-do" attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, and drug/alcohol screening
