The role requires flexibility, on-call availability, and a proactive attitude to handle emergency response situations efficiently. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, providing immediate mitigation services. Perform cleaning, debris removal, and surface drying using specialized equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and moisture meters. Conduct fire restoration activities including soot cleanup and odor control to restore properties to pre-loss condition. Operate company vehicles safely while transporting equipment and personnel to job sites. Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all mitigation tasks to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. Execute mold remediation and asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety protocols and industry best practices. Use Xactimate software for documentation, estimating repairs accurately, and maintaining detailed project records. Assist with construction-related tasks when necessary, including minor repairs or structural assessments during restoration projects. Maintain excellent communication with clients by providing updates on project progress and ensuring customer satisfaction. Follow all safety protocols diligently, including respiratory protection measures and hazard assessments during mitigation activities. Skills Proven experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields with knowledge of mitigation techniques. Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to act swiftly under pressure in urgent situations. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration tools. Knowledge of water damage restoration, flood recovery, mold remediation, fire restoration, and asbestos abatement processes. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor when interacting with clients. Ability to operate company vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection devices, and hazard communication standards. Capable of working on-call shifts as needed for emergency response coverage outside regular hours. Construction experience is a plus for assisting with structural repairs or site preparation tasks.
