This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including water and fire damage restoration, mold remediation, and general cleanup efforts. You will be on the front lines of emergency response, utilizing your skills to restore safety and comfort to homes and businesses while adhering to strict safety protocols. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, or flood damage restoration, providing immediate assistance and assessment. Perform cleaning tasks using various tools and techniques, including carpet cleaning, hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Assist with fire restoration efforts by removing debris, cleaning soot and smoke damage, and preparing sites for reconstruction. Conduct mold remediation activities following safety guidelines to eliminate mold growth and prevent future issues. Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites while maintaining proper documentation. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and safety gear during all restoration activities to ensure safety compliance. Follow detailed procedures using Xactimate estimating software for job documentation and reporting; adhere strictly to safety protocols throughout all tasks. Support construction-related activities when needed, including demolition or site prep, utilizing hand tools and power tools efficiently. Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about project progress and safety measures. Work on-call coverage as required, responding quickly to urgent situations outside regular hours. Requirements Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred; however, motivated newcomers with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of water damage restoration, flood recovery, mold remediation, and fire damage cleanup is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively. Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection standards. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients during stressful situations. Emergency response readiness with the ability to work on-call shifts at short notice. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods. Construction experience or familiarity with Xactimate estimating software is advantageous but not mandatory.
