Job Description
Job Overview H.A. Automotive Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Tooling & Mold Maintenance Technician to support our injection molding operations. This position is responsible for mold maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, changeovers, and ensuring molds and equipment operate efficiently to maintain quality production standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection molding tools, mold repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting in an automotive manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on injection molding molds and tooling Complete mold changes using cranes and proper rigging techniques Monitor injection molding machine startup processes and assist production teams with troubleshooting Identify, prevent, and correct mold-related defects impacting product quality Repair damaged or defective mold components and perform necessary adjustments Maintain accurate mold maintenance records and complete daily inspections Develop and update mold maintenance standard work instructions Participate in new mold trials and validation activities Recommend process improvements to increase mold life, reduce downtime, and minimize scrap Perform equipment changeovers and support production needs Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and 6S workplace standards Properly use hand tools, measurement equipment, and maintenance equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform general equipment repairs Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department Qualifications General understanding of mechanical machine maintenance General understanding of electrical machine maintenance Familiar with die/mold structure principle and able to repair complex molds independently Have the ability to properly care for the daily mold maintenance Familiar with relevant knowledge and skills required by automotive electrical industry Have at least 3 years working experience in mold maintenance Mold or mechanical major is preferred, able to understand CAD drawings Strong sense of responsibility, strong self-discipline, strong team work ability. Strong ability to problem solving and identify defective parts Technical secondary school degree in electronics, electrical and other related majors Have excellent vision, able to lift to fifty pounds at a time and physically capable of moving around frequently without risking his own or his co-workers' safety Microsoft office
