In this role, you will be responsible for executing asbestos removal and remediation tasks with precision and safety at the forefront. Your expertise will help protect workers, clients, and the environment from hazardous materials while supporting construction, restoration, and mold remediation efforts. Responsibilities Perform asbestos abatement procedures in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and project specifications. Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and safety equipment to ensure a secure work environment. Safely remove, handle, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials following all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify asbestos hazards and ensure complete removal or encapsulation. Assist in mold remediation and restoration projects by supporting cleanup processes and material handling as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including safety logs, inspection reports, and waste disposal records. Collaborate with team members to uphold safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness on all job sites. Skills Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to asbestos handling, abatement procedures, and safety standards. Experience in asbestos abatement, construction environments, or restoration projects involving hazardous materials. Familiarity with mold remediation techniques and best practices for environmental cleanup. Strong understanding of proper disposal procedures for hazardous waste materials. Ability to operate relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively. Valid certifications in asbestos abatement are preferred; ongoing training in OSHA standards is highly valued.
