Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a Retail Technician to support Transportation & Logistics operations within our Environmental services team. In this on-site role, you will safely load, transport, and handle retail environmental materials and equipment while performing inspections, minor maintenance, and documentation. You'll work closely with drivers, dispatch, and facility staff to ensure compliant packaging, routing, and tracking of waste streams and reusable assets. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to support meaningful environmental projects within a culture that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous skill development. Responsibilities Safely load, transport, and unload environmental materials, drums, and containers to and from customer locations and Clean Harbors sites. Perform routine inspections, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting on retail environmental equipment and transport vehicles. Follow all Clean Harbors, DOT, and environmental regulations, maintaining a strict safety-first mindset and proper use of PPE. Accurately complete manifests, logs, and electronic documentation for materials movement and equipment service. Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and facility teams to ensure on-time pickups, deliveries, and project support. Assist with spill cleanups, site cleanings, and emergency response operations as directed. Inspect, sort, and properly package waste streams for transport and disposal according to company and regulatory standards. Communicate with customers on-site, representing Clean Harbors with professionalism and a commitment to environmental protection. Participate in ongoing safety training, toolbox talks, and skills development programs. Support a team-oriented environment focused on integrity, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
