Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mitigation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for responding swiftly to emergency situations involving water, fire, mold, and other property damages. Your expertise will help restore affected areas efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in clients' lives by providing expert mitigation services with energy and professionalism. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service during challenging circumstances. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating emergency response readiness. Perform cleaning and restoration tasks using appropriate techniques and equipment, including carpet cleaning, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment and documentation. Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Conduct on-site mitigation activities such as water extraction, drying, debris removal, fire damage cleanup, and construction-related repairs when necessary. Apply safety measures including respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project progress while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including photos, reports, and logs for each project site. Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred. Knowledge of water damage restoration, flood restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement processes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection measures. Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude under pressure. Willingness to be on-call for emergency response coverage outside regular hours. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
