Full-Time Job Description Masters Environmental, LLC, a Milstead Company, is seeking a dependable, safety-focused HazMat Technician / Environmental Technician to join our team in the Creedmoor/Austin, Texas area. The HazMat Technician is responsible for safely responding to hazardous materials incidents and performing containment, cleanup, and remediation activities in industrial, commercial, transportation, roadway, and environmental settings. This position requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, effective teamwork, and the ability to perform physically demanding work during routine and emergency response operations. The HazMat Technician also supports emergency response readiness while maintaining accurate documentation and equipment readiness. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Respond to hazardous materials incidents, including chemical spills, petroleum releases, industrial leaks, transportation accidents, and environmental emergencies in a timely and professional manner. Perform containment, cleanup, and remediation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in industrial, commercial, roadway, and environmental settings. Conduct initial and ongoing site assessments to identify hazards, evaluate conditions, and determine appropriate response actions under supervisory direction. Operate and assist in the operation of vacuum equipment, hydroblasting units, pressure washers, pumps, hoses, absorbents, and other remediation or industrial cleaning equipment. Properly select, inspect, don, and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection and chemical protective clothing. Follow all applicable HAZWOPER, OSHA, EPA, DOT, client-specific, and company safety policies and procedures. Perform decontamination of personnel, tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with established protocols. Package, label, containerize, and stage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with DOT, EPA, and site-specific regulatory requirements. Assist with loading, securing, transporting, and unloading waste materials for disposal at approved treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs). Complete required job documentation accurately and on time, including field logs, incident reports, waste manifests, time records, and photographs. Use company-approved mobile devices and applications to capture job data, upload documentation, and communicate job progress. Maintain assigned equipment, vehicles, tools, and PPE in clean, safe, and serviceable condition and promptly report deficiencies. Assist supervisors, foremen, and safety personnel during site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory reviews. Participate actively in tailgate meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions. Exercise stop-work authority by immediately reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, or near-miss events. Follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions precisely while working effectively as part of a team. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support operational efficiency and emergency response readiness. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in hazardous materials response, environmental services, industrial cleaning, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. 40-Hour

HAZWOPER

certification will be provided. Current 8-Hour

HAZWOPER

Refresher will be provided. Current TWIC card required. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain. Confined Space Entry and LOTO training preferred. Ability to read and understand safety procedures, job instructions, and regulatory documents. Ability to complete reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to perform basic math related to measurements, quantities, and job documentation. Ability to use company-approved mobile devices and applications for documentation, timekeeping, photo uploads, and job communication. Strong situational awareness, communication, and teamwork skills. Physical & Work Requirements This is a physically demanding field position.

Candidates must be able to:

Lift 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding work. Stand, kneel, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces. Wear respirators and full PPE for extended periods. Work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions. Work in industrial and commercial environments that may include exposure to hazardous materials, confined spaces, loud noise, and other challenging conditions. Rapidly deploy and work extended hours when required for emergency response operations. Schedule & Availability This position supports 24/7 emergency response operations. Employees must be available to work extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as required.
