Full-Time Job Description Masters Environmental, a Milstead Company, is seeking a dependable, safety-focused TMA Traffic Control Operator to join our team in the Creedmoor, Texas area. The TMA Traffic Control Operator is responsible for providing safe and effective traffic control on roadways, construction zones, and incident-response scenes through the operation of Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) vehicles and traffic-control equipment. This position plays an important role in protecting field crews, emergency responders, and the traveling public by maintaining compliant traffic-control setups and responding appropriately to changing roadway conditions. All work must be performed in accordance with TxDOT, MUTCD, OSHA, client-specific, and company safety standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) vehicles to provide mobile protection for roadway work zones, incident scenes, and field personnel. Properly position TMA vehicles in accordance with MUTCD guidelines, traffic-control plans, and site-specific requirements. Set up, adjust, maintain, and remove traffic-control devices, including cones, barrels, signs, barricades, and arrow boards. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of TMA vehicles, arrow boards, lighting systems, and traffic-control equipment to ensure safe operation. Respond to emergency roadway incidents, including spills, vehicle crashes, lane closures, and unplanned work zones. Maintain constant situational awareness of traffic flow, roadway conditions, weather, and crew movements. Adjust traffic-control setups as conditions change to maintain safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with supervisors, traffic-control crews, law enforcement, emergency responders, and other on-scene personnel. Follow all applicable TxDOT, MUTCD, OSHA, client-specific, and company traffic-control and safety requirements. Assist with incident-scene setup, maintenance, and demobilization activities. Collect job-site photographs and accurately complete required documentation. Upload photographs, reports, and job documentation using company-approved mobile applications. Assist with the recovery, transportation, and storage of traffic-control equipment following job completion. Participate in daily tailgate meetings, safety briefings, and job-planning discussions. Exercise stop-work authority by immediately reporting unsafe or non-compliant conditions. Maintain professional and safe driving practices while operating company vehicles. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support traffic-control and emergency-response operations. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience or training in traffic control, roadway safety, construction support, or emergency response preferred. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred depending on vehicle requirements. Active TWIC card required. Traffic Control, Flagger, or TMA certification preferred. Ability to read and understand traffic-control plans, signs, diagrams, and safety instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, emergency responders, and other on-scene personnel. Ability to perform basic measurements and counts related to traffic-control device placement and documentation. Ability to recognize changing traffic and roadway conditions and adjust traffic-control setups accordingly. Ability to identify unsafe conditions, follow established procedures, and promptly communicate safety concerns. Ability to use company-approved mobile devices and applications for documentation, photo uploads, and work reporting. Candidates must be able to:

Lift, carry, and place traffic-control devices, including cones, signs, and barrels. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds . Sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle. Remain alert and attentive while working in high-traffic environments. Work outdoors in varying weather and roadway conditions. Work safely around moving vehicles and traffic. Work in construction zones and emergency-response scenes. Work in environments with elevated noise levels. Work non-standard and extended shifts associated with roadway and incident-response operations. Schedule & Availability This position supports traffic-control and emergency-response operations. Employees must be available to work extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as required to support 24/7 operations.
