Requirements :
1-2 years of experience in industrial cutting operations using oxy-fuel/torch cutting, plasma cutting, or thermal lance cutting. Experience in scrap metal, steel, foundry, or heavy industrial environments. Training or certification in hot work and safe handling of oxygen, propane/acetylene, and compressed gas cylinders. Ability to safely handle heavy and oversized materials. Knowledge and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures.Main Responsibilities :
Cut and prepare scrap metal according to dimensions and operational requirements. Process oversized, dense, or irregular scrap metal using torches, plasma cutting, thermal lance cutting, or hand cutting tools. Identify material type, thickness, and characteristics to determine the safest cutting method. Comply with hot work procedures, fire prevention, and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols. Inspect and perform basic maintenance on cutting equipment, hoses, regulators, and gas cylinders. Coordinate with yard and production teams to meet daily priorities. Sorte and organize cut material according to grade or specification. Assist with housekeeping and other assigned operational tasks.Job Type :
