Job Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Jewelry Maker to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality jewelry pieces that meet our artistic standards and customer specifications. Your expertise in metalworking, fabrication techniques, and technical drawing interpretation will be essential to producing stunning jewelry that delights our clients. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide jewelry fabrication processes Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as plasma cutters and welding machines to shape and assemble jewelry components Fabricate jewelry pieces from various metal materials, including sheet metal and wire, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards Measure and inspect materials with precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure accuracy Perform welding techniques such as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding to join metal components securely Utilize shop math skills for precise measurements, scaling designs, and ensuring proper assembly of intricate jewelry parts Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety procedures at all times Requirements Proven experience in metal fabrication or jewelry making, with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication principles Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings specific to jewelry design Proficiency with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools Knowledge of welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding standards set by the American Welding Society (AWS) Ability to operate shop tools like power drills, grinders, plasma cutters, and hand tools safely and effectively Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical specifications accurately Experience working in a fabrication shop environment or on construction sites is a plus but not required Excellent attention to detail with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations Commitment to adhering to safety protocols while handling metal materials and fabrication equipment Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to create beautiful jewelry pieces that stand out!
