We are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to help us maintain the highest standards of quality across our production team.   • Outgoing) You'll report to the Production Manager, and your responsibilities will include: Inspecting all products — both internal manufacturing and external/repair — for defects including loose stones, marks and scratches, incorrect sizing, and cast flaws.
Using loupes, microscopes, and other inspection tools to identify microscopic flaws, porosity, misalignment, and other quality issues. Traying serviced merchandise and moving product through the polishing and cleaning stages in a timely, organized manner. Plating and finishing products to meet quality and appearance standards prior to shipment. Working directly with bench jewelers and the production team to communicate and correct defects found during inspection. Logging defects, merchandise movement, and repair order information accurately to support tracking and reporting. Maintaining cleaning equipment and performing routine maintenance to keep it in good working order. Helping the department maintain strong On-Time Percentages by managing your workflow and flagging bottlenecks.
What you will need:
2-5 years of hands-on experience in the jewelry industry (bench jeweler, manufacturing, or retail intake work). Exceptional visual acuity and attention to detail. Working knowledge of precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and hallmarking. Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing processes including casting, laser welding, soldering, setting, and polishing. Proficiency with inspection tools such as loupes, microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and ring mandrels. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Self-starter who works well independently and within a team. High school diploma required; vocational training in a jewelry-related field a plus.
