Job Description
Are you the locksmith other technicians call when something is complicated or has to be done right the first time? Do you take pride in clean work, solving difficult problems, and being the professional customers trust when it matters most? VKA Security has been protecting homes and businesses in Northeast Florida for over 52 years, and we are looking for an experienced Lead Locksmith to help us continue building and strengthening our Lock Department. This is a hands-on field position for someone who knows the trade, takes ownership, sets a high standard for quality, and enjoys helping the technicians around them get better. We aren't looking for someone who needs to be managed through every job. We are looking for someone who can assess a problem, determine the right solution, execute it well, and help establish what great locksmith work looks like at VKA. What We're Looking For 5+ years of hands-on locksmith experience Strong commercial locksmith and door/hardware knowledge Proven ability to troubleshoot complex lock, door, and hardware issues Experience with master key systems, panic hardware, exit devices, closers, and retrofit work Strong installation, service, repair, and rekeying skills Ability to independently evaluate a job, identify what is needed, and see the work through completion Strong professionalism, communication skills, and customer presence Access control, electronic locking hardware, and low-voltage experience What You'll Own Perform locksmith installations, service, repairs, and troubleshooting Take ownership of jobs from start to successful completion Serve as a technical resource for complex locksmith, door, and hardware issues Maintain accurate job documentation, invoicing, and material tracking Work closely with Operations to identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, processes, and the customer experience Represent VKA Security with professionalism and confidence at every customer site Who Thrives at VKA We're looking for someone who: Takes pride in everything they do and in being excellent at their trade .
