This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing technical skills in lock/safe installation, repair, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, mechanically inclined, and committed to providing exceptional service. Prior experience with tools is a plus but not required; training will be provided to develop necessary skills. This paid apprenticeship is designed to prepare you for a career in lock/safe-smithing while contributing to the safety and security of our clients. Pay will start at $20 per hour. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of locks, safes, and security systems under supervision Learn to troubleshoot lock mechanisms Support senior locksmiths in cutting keys, rekeying locks, and replacing hardware Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency Participate in ongoing training sessions to develop technical skills and industry knowledge Experience Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is advantageous Interest in lock/safe-smithing, security systems, or related fields Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team Eagerness to learn new skills and grow within the locksmithing profession This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway into a skilled trade with opportunities for professional development.
