Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM About the Role Move Over Outfitters, a veteran-owned company, is seeking a motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll install and service technology systems in public safety and commercial vehicles, including two-way communication systems and in-car video equipment. This is an entry-level position with training provided—we're looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a technical field. Key Responsibilities Install and configure vehicle systems including radios, warning lights, and video equipment Prepare vehicles for installation and perform system upgrades and repairs Test and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality Use tools and electrical testing equipment (such as ohmmeters) Maintain accurate documentation of work performed Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to use hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and time management skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work inside vehicles Valid driver's license and reliable transportation High school diploma or GED Must be able to pass a background check Preferred (not required): Experience with 12-volt systems, vehicle installs, or similar work EVT certification Benefits Paid time off (PTO) in the first year Paid holidays after 90 days Employee discounts On-the-job training Climate-controlled shop Tools provided if needed Optional overtime Weekly tool truck visits About Us Move Over Outfitters is an Indiana-based, veteran-owned company specializing in upfitting public safety and commercial emergency vehicles.
