Job Summary Join our team as a Locksmith Apprentice and embark on an exciting journey into the world of security and mechanical systems! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in locksmithing, focusing on developing your skills in lock installation, maintenance, and repair. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn to interpret technical drawings, work with schematics, and utilize essential tools like ohmmeters. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a solid foundation in locksmithing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems while contributing to the safety and security of our facilities. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of locks, safes, and security hardware across various sites. Learn to interpret technical schematics and drawings to accurately perform tasks. Support electrical diagnostics activities related to lock systems and security devices. Gain experience working with mechanical components and heavy equipment mechanics involved in lock mechanisms. Use tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues within security systems. Participate in routine inspections of lock hardware and security equipment to ensure proper functioning. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during all tasks. Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge with an interest in locksmithing or related fields. Basic understanding of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Experience or familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures is a plus. Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and diagrams accurately. Technical proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail. Motivated self-starter eager to learn new skills in a hands-on environment.
