In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in machining processes, measurement techniques, and machine programming will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, contributing directly to the creation of complex parts used across various industries. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as lathes and milling centers to produce high-precision components. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, incorporating CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for efficient toolpath generation. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality. Perform machine calibration, tooling changes, and adjustments to optimize machining accuracy and surface finish. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection results, and quality control records. Assist in machine maintenance, tool setup, and manual machining operations when necessary to support production needs. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software is a plus. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for interpreting technical drawings. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and understand GD&T symbols for precise measurement and quality control. Skilled in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators for quality inspections. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machining tools, tooling setups, manual machining techniques, grinders, power tools, hand tools, and assembly processes. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
