Job Description
•
Duties/Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the sequence of operations for the fabrication of machine parts and die components.
Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, drill, bore, grind or otherwise shape a work piece to prescribed dimensions and finish.
May program and operate CNC machine tools.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as feeds and speeds, coolant flow and depth of cut.
Verify conformance of finished work piece and assemblies to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
Finish grinding of die components to .0005 of tolerance.
Heat treats machined components to required specifications.
Follow all safety and environmental regulations.
Other related duties as required.
