Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Night Shift Machinist role in Phoenix, AZ. Pay:

$28-$34 per hour

DOE Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and machining instructions.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Make necessary machine adjustments, including speeds, feeds, tool offsets, and other machining parameters.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Monitor machining operations to identify equipment issues, tooling wear, or out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Perform in-process inspections and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and machining documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist, or similar precision machining role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Experience setting up and operating machining equipment independently.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
• Understanding of machining fundamentals, including speeds, feeds, tooling, offsets, and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments during production.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a manufacturing team.
• Ability to work night shift on a consistent basis.
