You'll begin by setting up jobs using existing programs, making adjustments as needed, and learning how our parts are programmed in Mastercam. As your skills develop, you'll take on complete programs, including 5-axis work for space and aerospace parts. We want someone who enjoys solving machining problems, takes pride in a reliable setup, and is eager to help other machinists grow. What you'll do Set up CNC machines using existing programs, setup sheets, tooling, and drawings. Make and verify program, tool offset, and work offset adjustments as needed. Prove out setups and produce parts that meet drawing and quality requirements. Work with our team to learn Mastercam, progressing from program adjustments to programming complete parts. Develop your skills in 5-axis machining and programming. Document setup methods and train other machinists as you grow into a programming role. What we're looking for Hands-on CNC setup experience and the ability to work from engineering drawings. Experience selecting tools, setting offsets, troubleshooting setups, and making sound machining decisions. Strong attention to dimensional accuracy, process control, and documentation. A genuine interest in learning Mastercam and advancing into 5-axis programming. Patience and communication skills to help train other setup machinists. Experience with aerospace or space hardware, Mastercam, or 5-axis machining is a plus. You do not need to be a full-time programmer today; we are looking for a capable setup machinist who is ready to learn and take on more responsibility.
