Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Natural Gas Engine Machinist/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing natural gas engines and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of engines used in power generation and industrial applications, contributing to our commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about precision machining, mechanical troubleshooting, and innovative manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on natural gas engines to identify mechanical issues or performance deviations. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components with precision using manual tools, machining equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, machine setups, and quality inspections in compliance with safety protocols. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes for efficiency and waste reduction. Ensure all work meets safety standards and environmental regulations while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Skilled in the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and precision measurement instruments for quality control. Mechanical knowledge related to engine components including pistons, valves, shafts, gears, bearings, etc., specific to natural gas engines. Experience with machine setup procedures for lathe and milling machines to ensure accurate production runs. Strong manual machining skills combined with proficiency in tooling selection and tool maintenance. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations while maintaining quality standards. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
