Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Provides computer-aided measurement services in the form of measurement collection, dimensional analysis and reporting, modeling and system maintenance on a self-directed level. Provides training and facilitates deployment. Leads team through application for all tasks. Proficient with Verisurf - 3D metrology software. Provides fabrication support for tooling, emergent products, production, prototype and engineering operations with computer-aided measurement services. Services provided in the form of measurement collection, dimensional analysis and reporting, modeling, system maintenance and consultation.Skill and ability to:
collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Knowledge of computer aided design tools and manufacturing systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files). Knowledge of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow. Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies. Work travel up to 10% of the time domestically. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience working with laser trackers or a CMM (coordinate measurement machine). 3+ years of operating Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM). 3+ years of experience with metrology software such as Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer or Verisurf. 3+ years experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in aerospace, assembly and fabrication. Experience using CATIA. Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools to design Mechanical components. Experience with 5-Axis & 3-Axis NC/CNC Milling Machine. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.Conflict of Interest:
