CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist - Aerospace /
Precision Prototype Location:
Huntington Beach, CA Schedule:
2nd Shift | Start time approximately 4:15 PM or 6:00
PM Pay Range:
$30.00-$40.00/hour, depending on experience

Weekly overtime may be available/required based on workload Position Overview We are seeking experienced CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe Machinists to join the second-shift manufacturing team. This is a hands-on machining position for candidates who are comfortable independently setting up and machining complex, close-tolerance and contoured components from engineering drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate has a strong precision-machining background and can take a job from setup through completed part while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.

Perform machine setups, including tooling, workholding, offsets and job preparation.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and dimensional requirements.

Machine complex and contoured components to specified tolerances.

Select and use appropriate cutting tools and machining methods for each job.

Inspect completed work to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.

Make machine adjustments and offsets as necessary to maintain part quality.

Troubleshoot machining, tooling and setup issues during production.

Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.

Work independently while coordinating with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing as needed.

Support overtime and changing production requirements when necessary. Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.

Strong CNC mill and/or lathe setup and operating experience.

Ability to independently perform machine setups rather than operating only pre-set equipment.

Experience machining complex precision components.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds/speeds and workholding.

Ability to inspect your own work and maintain dimensional accuracy.

Aerospace, defense, prototype, R D or other high-precision manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

Must be comfortable working 2nd shift and overtime as required. Export Control Requirements Due to the nature of the work and applicable U.S. export-control/ITAR requirements, candidates must meet the applicable authorization requirements for access to controlled technical data. DoD clearance is desirable but not required unless specified for the assignment.
