RESPONSIBILITIES

Set-up and operate 2-5 axis lathes to produce parts to precise dimensions and within close tolerances Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job. Calculate where to cut or bore. Select tools and materials for the job. Monitor and control feed rate and speed. Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled. Monitor the accuracy of cuts. Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications. Use manual and computer-controlled machinery. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to set up and operate 3-5 axis machines Ability to use measuring tools. Regular and reliable attendance Must be able to comprehend blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents. Willing to work non-standard and/or additional hours on short notice to support near term customer milestones and schedules (Overtime, Off-shifts) Must pass a hands-on exam that will test your general knowledge.
