Full-Time, Direct Hire Excellent benefits About the Opportunity Evolve1Talent is proud to be supporting a long-term client — a trusted global leader in high-precision heat staking technology, operating out of a beautiful new state-of-the-art facility in Livermore, CA. This company specializes in prototype and short-run precision machining, and the devices and products they create ultimately support and improve the lives of people around the world, with work spanning medical device, aerospace, and industrial applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join this dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will own the set up and operate advanced 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex precision components with exceptional accuracy. Your expertise in machine setup, blueprint interpretation, and precision inspection will be essential to delivering high-quality parts on fast-turnaround prototype and short-run projects. Duties Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines independently, ensuring optimal performance and precision (Haas experience a plus). Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software, incorporating G-code and M-code commands for complex machining operations. Interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to accurately produce parts. Perform machine calibration, tooling changes, and setup adjustments to maintain tight tolerances (as fine as 0.0005•0.005"). Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other tools to verify part accuracy. Troubleshoot machining issues, perform manual mill/lathe work as needed, and support process improvements. Conduct quality inspections and maintain documentation of machine setups, inspection reports, and production logs. Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions across a range of materials — aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastics. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of hands-on 5-axis CNC machining experience. Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software (Mastercam or similar). Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement skills. Manual mill/lathe experience is a plus, not required. Comfortable working independently — performing your own setups and checking your own work. Thrives in a fast-paced, prototype/short-run environment rather than high-volume production. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
