JPH Manufacturing Inc. is a precision machining manufacturer based in North Hollywood, California. We specialize in high-quality machined components and pride ourselves on craftsmanship, reliability, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a CNC Machinist to support and guide our machining operations. Position Summary The CNC Machinist will be responsible for programming, setup, operation, and oversight of older-model Haas CNC Mills and Lathes . This role requires strong hands-on machining expertise, the ability to troubleshoot independently, and initaitve to support shop efficiency and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate older-model Haas CNC mills and lathes Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code) directly at the machine Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials Perform first-article inspections and ensure parts meet quality specifications Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program issues Maintain organized work areas and follow shop safety procedures Collaborate with engineering, management, and quality teams to meet production goals Perform basic machine maintenance and identify repair needs Required Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience (mills and lathes) Strong experience with older-model Haas CNC machines Proficient in CNC programming, setup, and operation Ability to edit programs at the control (no CAM-only programmers) Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials Experience holding tight tolerances and producing high-quality parts Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications Prior machinist experience Experience working in a job shop or small-batch manufacturing environment Familiarity with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.) Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices Compensation & Benefits Starting salary: $65,000 per year , with growth opportunities Pay increases based on performance and skill development Temporary, full-time position with opportunity to transition to long-term employment after 3 months, based on performance Why Join JPH Manufacturing?
