The ideal candidate will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines such as lathes and milling centers, ensuring high-quality production in accordance with detailed blueprints and technical specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to the creation of complex components with precision and efficiency. Candidates with strong mechanical knowledge, experience in CNC programming, and familiarity with measurement instruments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Operate, set up, and program CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate manufacturing. Utilize CNC G-code programming and M-code commands to control machining operations effectively. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize performance. Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Maintain proper machine setup by selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure consistent quality. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment in compliance with manufacturing standards. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design improvements using SolidWorks or CAD software. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements for efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC lathe and milling machine operation. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar programs. Experience with blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Skilled in the use of measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, tooling setup, and metalworking processes. Ability to perform manual machining operations when necessary. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise manufacturing. Understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement practices within manufacturing environments.
