Job Description

•49 per hour, based on skill level and experience

Signing Bonus:

$2,000

•7,500, based on machining experience and technical skill

Available Shifts & Differentials:

Monday

•Friday 2nd

Shift:

1:00 PM-9:30 PM | +5% shift differential 3rd

Shift:

9:00 PM-5:30 AM | +10% shift differential Standard machinist shifts are generally 8 to 8.5 hours once the 3rd shift is fully staffed

Current Transition Schedule:

Until the 3rd shift is fully staffed, 2nd and 3rd shift machinists will be asked to work 12-hour shifts. Current 12-hour schedules are 3:00 PM-3:00 AM or 4:00 PM-4:00 AM. Once the 3rd shift is fully staffed, machinists will transition to the standard 8 to 8.5-hour shift schedules listed above. Employees working on the same machine may occasionally be asked to arrive approximately 4 hours early or remain approximately 4 hours after their scheduled shift to provide coverage when another machinist is absent. ________________________________________

Job Summary:

The Experienced CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools in a precision aerospace production environment. This position manufactures components in accordance with engineering specifications, blueprints, planning documents, and work instructions while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The role requires hands-on CNC setup and machining experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, and/or mill-turn equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. ________________________________________

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC machine tools in a production environment to manufacture parts in accordance with specifications, blueprints, and work instructions Set up and adjust tooling and workholding Read and interpret blueprints, planning documents, and work instructions Perform in-process and final quality inspections Support production scheduling, workload coordination, and short-term planning Collaborate with Programming to prove out and optimize new and existing part numbers Support automation initiatives, including lights-out and unattended machining Work with toolmakers, supervisors, and management to improve processes, tooling, and throughput Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and degreasing Coordinate across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and support priority production requirements Load parts and ensure quality and conformance to applicable requirements Operate CNC and/or manual equipment as needed ________________________________________

Qualifications Required:

CNC machining and setup experience Experience operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC equipment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications Knowledge of tooling, workholding, and precision measurement Ability to perform in-process and final quality inspections Strong quality and safety mindset Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes Ability to work assigned shifts and provide extended shift coverage as required

Preferred:

Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience Mill-turn machining experience Experience supporting CNC automation, lights-out, or unattended machining Experience collaborating with CNC programmers on new-part prove-outs and process optimization Leadership experience for experienced or lead-level opportunities ________________________________________
