Summary:

Plans layout, fabrication, and testing of mechanical devices Sets up and operates precision machine tools to create parts, tools, and devices for experimental purposes Resolves challenges related to work-holding, materials, machine settings, tools, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production Performs precision work to exact tolerances for research engineers in a developmental laboratory setting Operates numerically controlled machines when necessary Monitors and verifies quality control in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures Gathers and manipulates common data, ensuring adequacy and appropriateness Develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports May operate electronic or mechanical equipment for developing, producing, or testing products and processing data •ITAR Definition Under 120.14 of the ITAR a U.S. person is defined as a person who is a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
