Job Description
Entry Level Machinist With Pay Up To $27/hour In Cambridge, MN. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines in a manufacturing environment to produce parts according to specifications. Load raw materials into CNC machines and ensure proper placement and secure setup. Monitor machine operation, including automatic machines with robotic arms, to maintain consistent production. Read and follow basic work instructions and production documentation accurately. Inspect parts as they come off the machine using micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools. Verify that parts meet quality and dimensional requirements and identify any defects or deviations. Communicate issues with equipment, materials, or quality to the appropriate team members promptly. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and an active interest in learning CNC machines and processes. Essential Skills Minimum of 6+ months of experience in a role requiring mechanical inclination (such as lube technician, construction, or shop class) or 6+ months of manufacturing experience with machine operation. Ability to operate or learn to operate CNC machines with computer-controlled interfaces. Basic ability to read and follow work instructions in a manufacturing setting. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, machinery, and production equipment. Strong interest in learning CNC operations and the ability to clearly explain this interest in an interview. Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and actively engage in learning new machines and processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
