Job Description
Program, set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot Swiss CNC and multi-axis lathe machining processes for precision components. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Approximately 7 years of experience programming and setting up Swiss CNC machines. Experience programming, setting up, and running multi-axis CNC lathes. Experience creating fixtures and tooling. Experience machining metals, exotic metals, and plastics. Experience working with GD&T and close-tolerance components. Experience inspecting completed work. Experience interpreting engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches. Experience troubleshooting machining processes and recommending tooling. Preferred Skills Experience with SolidWorks. Experience with coordinate measuring machines. Experience developing machining processes for complex precision components. Experience selecting cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies. Experience with in-process and final inspection techniques. Job Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate Swiss CNC machines and multi-axis lathes. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and sketches. Determine machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and programming requirements. Create and modify CNC programs. Design and develop fixtures and tooling as required. Machine components made from metals, exotic metals, and plastics. Maintain GD&T and close-tolerance requirements. Inspect machined parts for dimensional and quality compliance. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues. Recommend tooling and process improvements. Make machine, tooling, and program adjustments as required to maintain production specifications.
