WHAT YOU WILL DO
Read electrical drawings and wire automated systems, ensuring proper power and I/O signals. Test and troubleshoot assembled systems. Mount components and perform assembly work on automated systems. Learn and support basic PLC and robotic programming. Support metalworking projects from planning through fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing. Machine parts to exact specifications using lathes, mills, grinders, shapers, and other tools. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, and solid math skills. Measure, examine, and test completed units to ensure flawless performance. Set up, adjust, and operate both standard and advanced machine tools. Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials. Monitor machine feed and speed during machining operations. Calibrate measuring instruments using Master Gage Block Sets. Assist with assembly of complex automated systems. Maintain shop safety, organization, and cleanliness
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent hands‑on experience. Automated machine‑building background preferred. 2+ years machining or tool & die experience. Manual machining experience (mill, lathe). 1+ year reading electrical drawings and wiring automated systems. Experience mounting components and performing precision calibration. Any PLC or robotic programming experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with management, customers, and vendors. High enthusiasm for automation and working in a fast‑evolving environment. Detail-oriented mindset and ability to juggle mutliple projects.
