Overview Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Swiss Screw Machinist, where precision meets craftsmanship! In this dynamic role, you will operate and set up Swiss-type CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes to produce high-precision screw components and intricate metal parts. Your expertise in machining, blueprint interpretation, and machine programming will drive the creation of top-quality products that meet strict specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to the manufacturing of precision-engineered components used across various industries. Duties Set up and operate Swiss CNC lathes, ensuring optimal machine performance and adherence to production schedules Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, incorporating CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for precise tool paths Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), to produce accurate parts Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and quality standards Perform manual machining tasks on lathes, grinders, and other tools when necessary for finishing or troubleshooting Conduct machine setup adjustments, tooling changes, and calibration to maintain high-quality output Inspect finished components through CNC quality inspection procedures, ensuring compliance with specifications and tolerances Requirements Proven experience as a Swiss Screw Machinist or in a similar precision machining role involving CNC lathe operations Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software is highly desirable Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting GD&T symbols for precise manufacturing Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for part design review Skilled in using measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement instruments for quality control Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining tools, tooling setup, and machine calibration processes Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to metal machining and CNC quality inspection processes Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and commitment to producing high-quality components Join us as a Swiss Screw Machinist if you're passionate about precision engineering and eager to work with cutting-edge machinery.
