Updated 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary JMC Aviation is supporting a leading aviation MRO organisation in their search for a skilled Manual Machinist to join their rework team in Miami, Florida. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist with strong manual machining experience who is looking to work in a precision-driven aerospace environment. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a range of machine shop equipment to carry out precision machining and grinding operations on aircraft engine components. You will play a key role in ensuring all work meets strict engineering and regulatory standards. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation (based on experience and qualifications) Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) with company match Company-paid disability and basic life insurance Paid time off including vacation, personal days, and holidays Long-term career development within a growing aviation organisation Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate manual machining and grinding equipment including milling machines, engine lathes, tool-post grinders, and surface grinders Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals Perform precision machining and grinding operations in line with approved work scopes Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements Maintain accuracy and quality throughout all machining processes Required Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years of experience as a Manual Machinist Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment and precision measuring instruments Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Must have own basic machinist toolbox Flexibility to work overtime, including Saturdays, as required Advantageous Machinist trade school certification Experience working in an aviation MRO or FAA Part 145 environment Experience with Rolls-Royce

engines or similar Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification Additional Information Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include background screening and/or drug testing, where permitted by law Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Physical Requirements:
