Hourly Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Lead Machinist to operate and set up CNC machines, adjust CNC programs when required, maintain quality standards, and provide hands-on leadership to the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, set up, align, and adjust machining equipment and tooling. Read blueprints, operation sheets, and dimensional requirements. Use precision measuring instruments to inspect finished parts. Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and machine controls as needed. Modify and troubleshoot CNC programs when required. Monitor machine performance and identify tooling or equipment issues. Lead, coach, and support team members to meet production and quality goals. Coordinate with Engineering and Management to resolve production issues. Identify process improvements and training needs.
Requirements:
Strong machining/CNC experience. Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools. Experience with CNC programming, setup, tooling, and troubleshooting. Previous team lead or leadership experience preferred. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
