Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Machinist and Machine Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves precision machining and metalworking tasks essential to maintaining and repairing automotive components. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual machining processes, machine setup, and measurement techniques to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team focused on automotive excellence and precision engineering. Responsibilities Perform precision measurements in machining to ensure components meet exact specifications. Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, for manufacturing and repairing automotivei parts. Conduct manual machining processes with accuracy and attention to detail. Handle metal machining tasks, shaping and finishing parts according to technical drawings and standards. Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and calibration of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes. Skills Proficiency in precision measurement techniques and tools used in machining. Experience with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting of lathes and milling machines. Strong manual machining skills with a focus on metalworking. Knowledge of automotive components and the ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications is preferred. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Good communication skills and adherence to safety standards.
