Job Description

Job Summary A 2nd shift machinist will operate manually controlled and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools such as lathes and milling machines, to cut and produce precision parts for machines, instruments, and tools. They control the machinery that produces the speed and cuts to create a specific part. The machinist will also be responsible for performing basic maintenance on the machines and replacing dull or aged parts as necessary. Overtime is based on business needs and is NOT mandatory. The rate of pay is based on prior work experience and schooling. Working outside first shift is a $1.50 shift differential. Skill blocks, available after the probationary period to test on, add up to additional $2.25 money per hour.
