Job Description
Custom parts. Challenging setups. Real machining. If you prefer making precision components over watching the same production run all day, this role is worth a look. We're looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who knows how to take ownership of a job from setup through final inspection.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Set up and run CNC horizontal lathes
- Machine low-volume, high-mix industrial components
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings and GD&T
- Select tooling, set offsets and adjust cutting parameters
- Make basic program edits and machine adjustments
- Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and indicators
- Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional and machining issues
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of CNC lathe or turning experience preferred
- Strong CNC setup experience
- Solid blueprint and tolerance knowledge
- Comfortable making tooling, offset and program adjustments
- Experience machining steel and industrial metals
- Able to work independently and own part quality
