Job Description

Custom parts. Challenging setups. Real machining. If you prefer making precision components over watching the same production run all day, this role is worth a look. We're looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who knows how to take ownership of a job from setup through final inspection.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Set up and run CNC horizontal lathes
  • Machine low-volume, high-mix industrial components
  • Read blueprints, engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Select tooling, set offsets and adjust cutting parameters
  • Make basic program edits and machine adjustments
  • Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and indicators
  • Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional and machining issues
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of CNC lathe or turning experience preferred
  • Strong CNC setup experience
  • Solid blueprint and tolerance knowledge
  • Comfortable making tooling, offset and program adjustments
  • Experience machining steel and industrial metals
  • Able to work independently and own part quality
EXPERIENCE WE'D LIKE TO SEE
Large shafts. Gears. Gearbox components. Heavy equipment. Industrial machinery. Oil and gas. Mining. Steel. Power generation. Machine rebuilds. Custom or job-shop machining. Gear experience is a plus. It is not required.
THE DIFFERENCE
This isn't repetitive high-volume production. You'll work on custom, precision components where your setup skills, machining judgment and ability to solve problems matter.
