Job Description

A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to produce high-quality, precision components in a low-volume, high-mix environment. This is a hands-on role for a machinist who enjoys challenging setups, reading detailed prints, making adjustments at the machine, and taking ownership of part quality from first piece through final inspection. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes Machine precision steel and industrial-metal components Read blueprints, GD&T, tolerances, and work instructions Select tooling, set work and tool offsets, and adjust cutting parameters Make basic program edits and machine adjustments as needed Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision tools Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, and machining issues Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and housekeeping What You Bring 3+ years of CNC lathe or CNC turning experience preferred Strong setup and operation experience on CNC lathes Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances Working knowledge of GD&T Experience making tooling, offset, and basic program adjustments Strong precision-measurement and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and take pride in quality craftsmanship Preferred Experience Large shafts, gears, gearboxes, or heavy industrial components Custom machining, job-shop, proto@type, or low-volume/high-mix work Steel, mining, oil and gas, power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery applications Please submit a resume for consideration .
