The ideal candidate can independently perform setups, read blueprints, interpret GD&T, make machine offsets, and produce quality parts with minimal supervision. This is not a production button-pushing role. We are looking for true machinist who can understand machining fundamentals, can troubleshoot issues at the machine, and take ownership in their work.
Shift:
07:00AM - 3:30PM; Monday - Friday. Overtime will be available depending on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, routed instructions, process plans, and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, prove-outs and first article runs.
  • Make minor G&M code edits at eh machine as needed.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, thread gauges, and other precision measuring tools to inspect work.
  • Work with materials such as aluminum and carbon steel.
  • Deburr completed parts and complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and productive work practices around CNC equipment, coolants, chips, fixtures, and moving machinery.
  • Work closely with supervisors, quality and other machinists to hit production and quality requirements.
Qualification:
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T required.
  • Strong shop math skills, including decimals, fractions, conversions, and basic geometry.
  • Ability to make offsets and minor G&M code edits at the machine.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to stand for the full shift and lift up to 50lbs
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
