What to Expect At Tesla Elgin, we design, fabricate, and build custom automation equipment that will help Tesla accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team, where we value technical skills, positive attitude, and a determined work ethic. We have a high bar at Tesla and the expectation is excellence.
Shift:
04:00PM - 12:30AM; Monday through Friday What You'll Do
Machine parts to print with high throughput and accuracy. Executing at a high level across a variety of parts ranging in difficulty and quantity. This is not a production shop. A detailed understanding of CNC controls, mills, lathes, programming, and manual fabrication equipment
Promote a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Maintains clean and organized work area and equipment
Support and ensure safe working practices and a healthy work environment
Assist in other work areas to perform fabrication, assembly and maintenance when required What You'll Bring
At least 3 years of CNC mill experience with an understanding of M and G-code
Display extensive experience and proficiency with machining and fabrication
Display evidence of exceptional abilities and self-motivated
Candidates need to have basic computer knowledge and skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent decision-making skills, strong understanding of manufacturing process
Experience with Fanuc controls and programming experience

Expected Compensation
$19.22 - $39.96/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
