Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will drive production efficiency by expertly setting up and operating advanced turning centers to create high-quality components, playing a vital part in our ongoing operational success. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications to plan efficient machining sequences. Program multi-spindle lathes by calculating geometry and trigonometry requirements to ensure precise part production. Perform comprehensive machine setups, including tool offsets, compensation adjustments, and reference point calibration. Execute turning, facing, threading, and grooving operations while monitoring for quality and dimensional accuracy. Proactively troubleshoot process deviations and perform tool maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize output. Maintain rigorous quality standards by conducting first-run inspections and documenting production logs. Uphold a safe and organized work environment by strictly adhering to all operational safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC turning centers. Proficiency in G-Code programming and machine control instrumentation. Strong analytical skills for process improvement and technical troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T. Preferred Skills Prior experience with Swiss-style turning machines. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior machinists or lead process optimization initiatives. Advanced knowledge of cutting tool geometry and material properties.
