Job Description

Strange Engineering is seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist or ToolDie Machinist to join our team. We are looking for a skilled machinist with at least 3 years of manual machining experience who can operate a Clausing 600 Series Colchester engine lathe with minimal supervision. Duties Must be able to make precision parts from blueprints and engineering drawings. Modify existing parts to meet specifications. Assist in building fixtures and tooling. Set up and operate a Clausing 600 Series Colchester manual lathe. Machine precision parts to close tolerances. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work independently while maintaining quality and productivity. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Manual Lathe Machinist, ToolDie Machinist, or Conventional Lathe Machinist. Experience operating a Clausing 600 Series Colchester manual lathe preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Proficient with precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision. Position Details Full-Time or Part-Time available. Competitive pay based on experience. Flexible schedule for qualified candidates.
