AM Location:
Mooresville, IN Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a direct hire Machinist position.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machining equipment Manufacture one-off and low-volume replacement components for Tool & Die repairs Machine custom components and spare parts for stamping dies Support die modifications, repairs, and tooling projects Load, run, modify, and hand-write CNC programs at the machine Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, milling, and other machining operations Set up fixtures, establish work offsets, align workpieces, and change tooling Verify machining accuracy using measuring equipment and blueprints Operate large-format CNC equipment Manufacture replacement components for worn or damaged dies Determine the most effective machining approach for custom repair components Operate manual lathes and manual machining equipment when necessary Support the Tool & Die department with specialized machining work Understand how machined components function within stamping dies Required Skills (Must Have): Ability to independently set up CNC vertical mills and large-format CNC machines Experience setting up fixtures, aligning workpieces, and establishing work offsets Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings Experience producing one-off or low-volume custom machined components Ability to hand-write CNC programs directly at the machine Experience writing or editing basic: Drill cycles Tap cycles Reaming operations Milling operations Basic machining programs and shapes Strong understanding of G-Code and M-Code Knowledge of CNC tooling, cutting tools, and machining processes Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Fanuc controls Okuma controls G-Code and M-Code programming experience Conversational programming experience (ProtoTRAK or similar) Experience with large-format gantry mills Tool & Die, stamping, or custom tooling experience Manual machining experience including manual lathes Experience supporting die repair or tooling departments #ENG123 About Pinnacle Partners For more than two decades, Pinnacle Partners has been connecting top talent with leading employers across Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, and other cities throughout the Midwest.
