Position Summary :

Lead Grinding Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of all machining and grinding equipment to produce our proprietary carbide cutters and products to meet the needs of our customers. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm with occasional overtime as required.

Job Functions and Responsibilities :

Perform all work tasks completely and accurately Set up and operate a variety of grinding machinery as required according to standard routing and work instructions Perform other manufacturing-related tasks as directed by the Production Manager Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and follow all safety guidelines and procedures Adhere to all company policies and procedures Cooperatively take on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned Comply with all established company policies and procedures

Skills/Experience Requirements :

Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a hands-on machining and manufacturing environment is required Proficiency in rapid mental math is required Experience in using micrometer and other measurement tools is required Surface grinding and CNC programming and operation experience is required High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong time management skills, with the ability to efficiently multi-task Ability to learn and retain information Ability to stand and continuously move between work centers for long periods depending on the task Ability to operate tools and machinery in a safe manor Ability to get to and from work on time every day per your schedule Ability to lift as much as 35 pounds Capable of working in a collaborative team environment that is dynamic, fast-paced, and may at times contain competing deadlines Join our team as a Production Grinding Operator and contribute to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing!
