Milling Machinist

Job Description

CNC Milling Machinist responsible for setting up, proving out, operating, and inspecting precision multi-axis machined components for aerospace and other high-tolerance applications. Job Requirements 5+ years of CNC milling experience. Ability to independently set up, prove out, and operate CNC machining centers. Advanced experience with 3-axis and 4-axis milling. Experience with 5-axis machining preferred. Experience in AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environments. Experience with high-mix, low-volume, prototype, or precision machining. Advanced blueprint reading skills. Strong GD&T interpretation experience. Experience machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, hardened steels, and other heat-resistant alloys. Experience selecting and applying tooling, workholding, fixtures, feeds, speeds, and offsets. Experience performing first article and in-process inspections. Proficiency with precision measuring and metrology equipment. Experience troubleshooting setup, tooling, dimensional, surface finish, and machining process issues. Preferred Skills Okuma CNC machine experience. FANUC control experience. 5-axis milling experience. Aerospace prototype machining experience. Experience optimizing machining strategies for difficult-to-machine alloys. Experience working to tight aerospace tolerances and AS9100 quality requirements. Job Responsibilities Set up, prove out, and operate CNC milling machines. Produce precision machined components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform 3-axis, 4-axis, and multi-axis machining operations. Machine aerospace-grade and heat-resistant materials. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding systems. Establish and adjust feeds, speeds, tool offsets, and machining parameters. Perform first article and in-process inspections using precision measurement equipment. Verify dimensional accuracy, GD&T requirements, and surface finish specifications. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and dimensional issues. Make process adjustments to maintain part quality and machining stability. Follow established machining procedures, quality standards, and AS9100 requirements. Document inspection results and machining process information as required.
Pay:
