Job Description
CNC Milling Machinist responsible for setting up, proving out, operating, and inspecting precision multi-axis machined components in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Job Requirements 5+ years of CNC milling experience. Ability to independently set up, prove out, and operate CNC machining centers. Advanced experience with 3-axis and 4-axis milling. Experience in AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environments. Experience in high-mix, low-volume, prototype, or related precision machining environments. Strong blueprint reading experience. Strong GD&T interpretation experience. Experience machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, hardened steels, and other heat-resistant alloys. Experience with tooling selection, workholding, fixtures, feeds, speeds, offsets, and machining strategies. Ability to perform first article inspections. Ability to perform in-process inspections using precision measuring and metrology equipment. Experience troubleshooting setup, tooling, dimensional, surface finish, and machining process issues. Preferred Skills 5-axis CNC milling experience. Experience operating Okuma CNC machines. FANUC control experience. Aerospace prototype machining experience. Experience optimizing machining processes for difficult-to-machine alloys. Job Responsibilities Set up, prove out, and operate CNC milling machines. Perform 3-axis, 4-axis, and multi-axis machining operations. Machine precision aerospace components to engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements to maintain tight dimensional tolerances. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding systems. Establish and adjust feeds, speeds, tool offsets, and machining parameters. Perform first article and in-process inspections. Verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish using precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, dimensional, and surface finish issues. Make machining adjustments to maintain process stability and part quality. Follow established machining procedures, production standards, and AS9100 quality requirements. Maintain required machining and inspection documentation.
Pay:
