Full-time | On-site Volo Aero MRO is seeking an experienced Lead Machinist to support our growth and expand our aerospace repair capabilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist with expertise in turning and milling who also has a passion for training and mentoring the next generation of machinists .

Responsibilities Lead day-to-day machining operations:

milling, turning, and manual machining . Perform set-ups, troubleshoot, and ensure precision machining on aerospace components. Able to program G Code and conversational, as well as experience with CAD/CAM software Train and develop junior machinists; provide hands-on coaching in machine shop skills. Support continuous improvement, workflow efficiency, and new capability development. Collaborate with a small, dedicated team in a fast-paced aerospace MRO environment . Qualifications 5+ years' experience in machining (milling, turning, tool room, CNC and manual machining experience). Strong skills in set-up and operation of lathes, mills, (grinders are a plus) . Aerospace machining or precision machining experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and maintain tight tolerances.
