Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description As a CNC Machinist, you will manufacture detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions using various computer- or mechanically controlled machine tools and equipment. You will be responsible for setting up and operating mills, lathes, CNC machine tools, grinders, and other machine equipment. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications. Retrieve job-related information such as job routings, part drawings, tool lists, and work instructions. Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes. Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing the ERP system. Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts. Essential Skills 3+ years of Machinist experience High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training ITAR compliance Excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements Basic computer skills Problem-solving abilities Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc. Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions) Strong teamwork and communication skills Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a very large and clean machine shop environment. Day shift is from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Swing shift runs from 4:30 pm to 2:45 am Monday through Thursday with an 8% differential. Weekend shift is from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm Friday through Sunday with a 12% differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
